> Magazine on the Table to get Vyv photographing you** -- say either Yes or No, as either yields the same result. Note that you will still need some Gil at the end to buy 100,000-150,000 kW to get the 999,999 kW so don't spend too much! Note: You'll need 90 Laser Sensors in total to craft all four weapons to max level. I'm sad to say, but I currently believe this is an RNG thing, although there may be some "guaranteed" method to have him show offline waiting to be discovered. You need 52 to do 3 of your weapons, and the rest of the sensors for just the Corsesca/Dragon Whisker. Each time you finish it, send power on the electrical grid to get to the next destination, which would be 10,000 kW (A2). If you pick one up and Cid shows up back at camp, this may help your chances in getting his Crafting Boost (Level 3). Even though this is a Level 10 quest, you can handle it at Level 2. :) Two waves of enemies. You will have an easier time as you will have to Point-Warp less often to restore MP. You'll start off with two AI (Miles and Elea) and all of you have no ingredients. After powering up a few more Power Lines, you'll eventually see a cutscene with a hunter when you return to Lestallum that will ask you to undertake this quest. Send power to the 1,200 kW Power Line to have the shuttle be bound for Cape Caem. Note: Sometimes, Ifrit will not enter Phase 3, and will stay in Phase 2 (especially if you re-started the fight in older Comrades versions). If you're low on Gil, you can lower the Whisker quantity or skip the Whiskers altogether and buy 9 Sinister Sharpscale (38,340 Gil or 30,672 Gil [20%]) instead to get the 90% + 10% = 100% Fire Resistance you'll need for the final battle -- you should have 10% already from the Dragon Whisker. 1.0). There is a bug sometimes where your pickax will disappear or you'll be thrown out of the mining sequence -- that's OK, just keep pressing O and you'll get the item. Down = Dancing, Right = Imperial), though the game will always tell you the name of the currently equipped weapon. You can also set your "Save Point" here (near the music-playing trio by Cid's Remodeling Station) so that when you begin the game, you start here instead of Lestallum. Also, if you were lucky enough to encounter a Cactuar and you already have at least 2 Cactuar Needles in your Treasure Inventory, you don't need to do the mining. Most of the area will be ablaze, except for the Throne area, so just stay there and keep doing what you were doing in Phase 2. A great way to "depart" from this Comrades game is to do the Comrades: Departure quest. Drooping Whiskers. Regardless, I did notice he seemed to appear more often for me in 1.0 than in any other version of the game, though I haven't been able to verify this. As you get more and more mats, keep going back to Cid and reference this section to continue crafting until you get one Weapon to Level 30. An Arachne near the store may be bugged and impossible to kill in Ver 1.0, so just skip it. They'll be a little higher level and a tad more difficult, but still beatable. You'll find them near the same spot on the upper level (more directly in front of the Power Plant this time), and you'll be able to have a re-match with them individually or all at once. Then go after the MA-Veles and MA-X Maniple bosses by breaking their legs to immobilize and make them vulnerable. Therefore, make your first battle a "practice" run to get acquainted with Ifrit's attack patterns, lose, and then play for real in the second battle. If you lose the battle, the game will be kind enough to let you restart it immediately. There are three phases during the fight with Ifrit. Refer to the Chocobos section to catch a Level 50 Chocobo and then level it to 99. After you've spent your Gil on Chrome Bits, it's time to take a nice diversion and take advantage of another Version 1.0 bug: "free" mining. If you saw Cindy and made a Shop character with her Discount Boost, you can stop doing the Item Drop Bug in Ghost at 350,000 Gil. Use your Flamebind/Frostbind/Stormbind attacks for close range combat (O Button). Descent into Darkness: Retrieve the Royal Sigils (13), Crafting Goal #4: Meteorites and Level 120 Weapons, Descent into Darkness: Supply power to Insomnia, Insomnia: The Pyreburner's Trial (Trophy: Blessed by All), Protect a Player (Trophy: A Reliable Warrior) [Online], Bonus Quest Challenges (Trophy: Loyalty to Royalty, Ghostbuster, Peerless), Crafting Goal #5: The Level 30 Endgame Character, Challenge: Dastardly Duo (Trophy: Vanquisher of Villainy), Challenge: Feathered Foe (Trophy: Golden Nester), Rematch: The Bladekeeper's Trial (Level 50), Final Round: The Bladekeeper's Trial (Level 99), Rematch: The Pyreburner's Trial (Level 99), Urgent: The Malignant Mictlantecihuatl (Level 90), Level 1-25-50-75-99 Birthplace Comparison Tables, Why Laser Sensors Are So Much Better Than Monster Jaws (and Everything Else), Advanced Crafting: The Cid Buff and Optimal Multiples, The Best Weapons and Mats to Use for Dismantling, The "Best" Build for Beginners (Without Cid Buff), Out of Bounds Glitches (Exploring the World of Ruin), Missables and One-Time Only Opportunities, because it only offers middling quality weapons, Ghost in the Machine (53-93 Laser Sensors), The Injurious Jabberwock (11 Dragon Horns), 9 + 11 Drooping Whisker (Remodels into Imperial X-Blades after 9), +30% STR, +30% SPI (Magic Defense), +20% MP, Level 51 Knight's Lance from Crafting Goal #2, 6 Meteorite (or 7 Meteorite if you didn't add the 1 Meteorite in the Dismantling Goal). Out of the choices, Insomnia is the best for MP and Lestallum comes in a distant 2nd place for MP, but has more HP/STR. Note: You do not have to do the Urgent: A Familiar Fright as there is no Royal Sigil behind it. If you can get at least 50% off his HP off, you will have done pretty well. Also, there's two more Birthplaces, but they won't become available until you complete two optional Level 99 Quests. Also, note that you can ride the Elevator all the way up to the top of the Lighthouse and talk to Weskham and buy additional Avatar/Clothing Items (though you shouldn't right now). Then reference the map again to find and it power up. If you started with 1.2 or the Standalone, you won't need to do any update to continue on. The Clarity Shield will only have 90% Fire Resistance via the Sinister Sharpscales (the other 10% should come from the Dragon Whisker) and 100% Shot Resistance. Also, if you adjust your camera up a bit, you can Point-warp to an upper level above you (above the water/boat). This especially worked in the online-only Daily Quest where there are no ingredients to pick up. No luck so far though . If you want to be optimal though, keep continuing with the Shuriken for another 3 or so minutes and try to hit 99 Laser Sensors. Note: This section only applies to those playing Version 1.0. Although "only" a Level 4 quest, this is a tough quest with AI, as if you let too many Spiracorns pass thru the tunnel, the quest will be abandoned. They have a great value. View Full-size. The final boss battle is like a Level 99 Quest in terms of difficulty and will be your hardest fight thus far. If you failed to remodel your Javelin into a Heavy Lance at Level 20, begin to level one of your Kite Shields to Level 30. You probably won't see the Inventory Full go out for the Laser Sensor since the item drop notifications are so backed up; you'll get a "feel" for it after a few times when you've hit 99 Laser Sensors based on time alone. BLOCK (SQUARE Button) when it leaps into the sky and then tries to land on you to do a counter and some Blindside damage. My best advice for now is to just keep plowing through and farm for the mats you'll need in Crafting Goal #5. You'll be playing the bros similar to how you played them in the main game/DLCs. Talk to Jeanne and keep sending power to the rest of Lestallum, but power the 200 kW Power Line first to get 1,200 Gil (if you hadn't already). Coincidence? What's Drooping Whiskers used for? This will put enemies in a Vulnerable state. Once you've done this a couple times and have become stronger, instead of going aerial with the Shuriken, stay grounded and start doing Warp-Strikes (R1 + TRIANGLE) on the legs with the Shuriken. When crafting, you can Imbue an Ability from a mat onto a Weapon. Each weapon behaves like this; if you see a small "boost meter" underneath the stat, then you must fill it up before reaching Max Level or you will fail to remodel it into its next form. Afterwards, power up the 11,000 kW Power Line nearby to unlock The Rogue's Sigil: Aerial Ace (C6). This will give you access to Comrades 1.2 content and let you start earning the Main Game's second set of trophies. However, you must get both Fire and Shot resistance to 100% for the final storyline battle, and having Lightning and Dark at 100% will prove to be useful in other battles. The Imperial Blades remodel automatically to the Imperial X-Blades, max easily to Level 60, give you +300 HP, have a decent Lifedrain II ability, are super cheap, and actually end up with 10+ more VIT than the more expensive Imperial Axe, making them the better 4th Weapon in your GEAR. I like the shorter red lines that are on the street the most as the game seems to give you more breathing space before aborting you from the quest. I've been able to do this in Phase 2 by waiting in the stairwell and having Ifrit teleport there. Your STR and MP will drop, but your HP and VIT will increase substantially. Abort the Quest after you break the horns and keep trying until you get it. This is more than enough to handle the final three high-level quests you'll need to do. I recommend killing the Liches while you're out here. The 1st and 3rd waves are Garchimaceras, the 2nd and 4th waves have the Mutant Mindflayers that drop the Octolegs (along with Ronins, who have an instant death attack), and the 5th and final wave are the two Mutant Bandersnatch bosses that drop the Monster Jaw. You can now buy the final mats you'll need to do your last crafting session. Also, while repeating this quest, please refrain from powering up any lines or stations on the Electrical Grid unless it's for finishing the D Path or the E Paths to get the Royal Sigils. If you make a mistake and accidentally dismantled your newer Clarity Shield, you can always Hold PS Button > Close Application (FFXV) before exiting the Crafting Screen as the game doesn't auto-save until exiting it. Browse latest ripper listings or post your own for free. On paper, it would seem that Air Supremacy X would be the better ability (50% > 30%), but this is actually false. Don't forget to equip it. I'll let you know which Urgents require this in each of the below sub-sections. Unlocking Vyv is optional; he'll always spout something when you're nearby chatting with Monica, and this may become annoying for the entire game, so you may wish to actually never check the magazine if you don't care about the photos. Just stay near the throne, take your time to reset and buff/heal if needed (switch to the Clarity Shield and cast Cura). Afterwards, power up the 9,800 kW Power Line northeast of Norduscaen Garrison and get The Wise's Sigil: Dragoon Drain. Just use this same strategy on the Behemoth King and you'll surely win. After you've remodeled the Corsesca into the Harpoon or Dragon Whisker, you can have it replace your Knight's Lance. Switch to your Javelin using the D-PAD. Switch to your Shuriken and start doing aerial attacks (using the Aerial Ace Sigil's midair steps) targeting the leg you just broke. Behemoth Tears in Urgent: Double Deadeyes (0:26 Video). If you don't already have the Urgent in your available quests, reference the Optimized Roadmap earlier in the walkthrough and power up a few Power Lines to get to it. Urgent: Out of the Darkness in 30 Seconds (0:47 Video). Also, if you haven't already, equip The Oracle's Sigil: Healing Light into your GEAR before starting this quest, as you'll want the 100% MP for doing Chain Warps. The Cactuar Needle will imbue the Pentetrator ability ("Reduces target's defense by 30% when attacking"). Final Fantasy XV Wiki Guide. The best way to fight Ifrit at this point is to always let him come to you and make the first move. See the Trophy Cleanup #3 section for details. You can Point-warp (TRIANGLE) and Warp-Strike (R1 + TRIANGLE). He teleports a lot so you'll never be in a "groove" when fighting him. With the 3,600 Gil Bounty, that's about 55,000 Gil for only 10 minutes of work! Then just do a few regular attacks on him until he teleports. The Ice resistance isn't as commonly needed, but could be in the future, so I recommend just having all five for convenience. Penetrator X reduces Defen. This weapon is the only source of the Offensive Spell: Diaga ability in the game, and is widely regarded as the best spell for magic builds. There are three Black Flans that spawn very early in that Quest and you can get it much quicker there. Final Fantasy XV Wiki. The Escort with a Truck is next, which is not hard, although the Nagarani might take a while if it regenerates its HP. When you need the 2nd Cactuar Needle for Crafting Goal #3, come back and do the Mining again. READ MORE. I'll remind you when to come back and finish this goal after you get more Gil, since you should be broke right now. You should earn Gil rewards, in all about 50K+ Gil from doing this. Diara - Superior Light-type elemental magic. If it took you a couple hours longer, that's OK. You're still well ahead of the curve by being here at the 15-20 hour mark. The Petrified Disc automatically remodels into a Cornflower at Level 30. Instead, you should go to Meldacio Hunter HQ and buy a Level 1 Clarity Shield. This is totally fine, and the fight will still be winnable. It took 48 hours for me to see him in one playthrough (Comrades 1.2), while I was grinding Ghost in the Machine. It's like Roboresurrection combined with Ghost in the Machine. With the C Path completed, it's time for a checkup. First, repeat the Urgent: The Terrible Treant until you have at least 3 Sharp Scythes from breaking Killer Wasps. Note: This bug only works in older versions (e.g. Check the Chocobo and Entrust it to the Engineer. You should definitely have your Level 30 Weapon by this point. Do the Hunt: A Tangled Web They Weave one time for more kW (it's an easy and straightforward quest) and then power the path, finishing with the 2,000 kW Power Line, to get to the Royal Sigil. In order to unlock this Urgent, you must power up one 8,000 kW Power Line near the center of the electrical grid (reference E3). Use these early waves to get acquainted with the character you're using, as all four bros play very differently. > Icon on the bottom level of town, near the Lestallum Supply Station and the steps leading you up. The ingredient auto-revives you if you die. Play data will be saved and the game will resume from Lestallum with all Royal Sigils collected. Your first priority is to use 18 Chrome Bits to level and remodel your Level 1 Imperial Blades into a Level 30 Imperial X-Blades. It also gives you a nice +300 HP Bonus, and can serve as an alternate to one of your four "Ultimate Weapons," essentially replacing the need for a Curaga Weapon. 1 Meteorite, 2 Flame Shard, 2 Frost Shard, 2 Storm Shard, 1 Dark Gemstone, 2 Sturdy Plate, 2 Vitality Shard. Power up the longer path north of the Devon Elkton (C3) node nearby Meldacio and you'll unlock the Hunt: Smog on the Water. Note: Prioritize attacking and breaking the Killer Wasps first while your AI handles the other mobs. You will be able to mine a rock about 2-3 times until the spot has been fully excavated, so if the game still lets you mine the rock again, do so. 1.2 or Standalone), please see the Alternate Crafting Goal #3 at the end instead. Also, Ifrit will be a little easier to make Vulnerable in his first phase, and won't usually enter his third phase after you re-start. I designed the paths to both be simple and efficient; please don't worry, you won't be missing anything. You'll now want to update from FFXV 1.18 to FFXV 1.26. COMRADES: LAZY MELEE ENDGAME BUILD. Note: If you don't see the Quest available from Monica, power the 1,600 kW Power Line leading south to Old Lestallum (A3). Otherwise bought from the Norduscaen Garrison refugee leader item shop for 1740 gil. Guide Points until reaching the boss. This is it..the final battle we'll need to do in the 1.2 storyline. You'll also find it useful late game as Chrome Bits are a good STR/VIT dismantling mat. Sorry, I tried, I really did. However, if you are playing Version 1.0, and you know right now that you'll be playing the Standalone (Post Game content) later, you may want to try picking up the Cornflower now while you still have "unlimited" access to Laser Sensors and then filling it up with them. Don't worry, the Escort and Defense are easy. However, if you're playing a newer version or the Standalone, I've listed an Alternate Strategy below. It will take 37 Chrome Bits total to go from Level 1 - 51 on your Javelin -- don't worry, it's OK if you didn't have enough Chrome Bits to go all the way to Level 51 right now. Please take a moment to reference the Dismantling section. The Level 24 Coeurls in this quest drop them as their bonus/break item. Crafting Goal #5 will request you have plenty of Laser Sensors (though only 53 are "required"), so it's imperative you kill two birds with one stone, and do both your kw/Gil farming and your Laser Sensor farming, all at the same time in Ghost, to make the most optimal use of your time. Ifrit will be on fire. It has hard remodeling requirements for this point in the game (+90 SPI). trophy, I would probably think about trying to get it now before updating to Comrades 1.2. The second screenshot is for dispelling the "Finish with 4 Malboro Tentacles" story that has recently been brought up. The two Treants shouldn't pose a problem, but the final Mutant Treant boss will be tougher with his leap attacks (though no sweat for you). Note: At the time I took this screenshot, I didn't have the Curative Spell: Cura on the Clarity Shield in the build/crafting steps. You'll start with Glad, who should already be in town by now. The dismantling and crafting sections will take around 30-60 minutes to complete, so make a backup save in case you make a mistake. Note in Hidden Harbor, the elevator (where you came out of, above Cid's Remodeling Station) lets you use the Shuttle to go to other Outposts. We're going to be doing a lot of shopping here, so if you are lucky to have a Shop Character, Change Character to your Shop character with Cindy's Discount Boost at the tent in Lestallum. The Killer Bees near the end are annoying, but just try a combination of Warp-Strikes and jump attacking. So always keep an eye out for "Vulnerable" enemies and get near to Crackshot them! Go back to Old Lestallum and find Navyth to buy more Meteorshards. Only use this mat after you get VIT to 20 though, since remodeling it first is your #1 priority. Also, when it's nighttime, it's a little harder to see when mining as you'll be using your flashlight with reduced visibility. The Malboros will give you a clue with their mouths when they're about to do Bad Breath. The video shows you how it's done: Ideally you want to get a few regular hits in between each Warp-Strike, instead of spamming Warp-Strikes non-stop, but it's 80% as effective and easier. Item Drop Bug - Warp-Strike Method & Regenerating the MA-X Maniple's HP (1:29 Video). Your AI friends will be Libertus, Miles, and Elea. Before taking the Shuttle (Truck) in Lestallum's lowest level to travel to Meldacio, you need to do a few things. You can do 3 High Jumps in a row against the Behemoth King when the L1 Bar is full to do some good damage, but get back out of the way and go back to using Stormbind Total Clarity. After you break the second Malbodoom, I strongly recommend Aborting the Quest instead of completing it and going through the extra loading/Camp sequence until you get it. Next, from the Treasures tab of the Imperial Shop, buy as many Chrome Bits (290 Gil) as you can with all your remaining Gil (make sure your remaining Gil is between 1-2999). You'll get more Weapons and Items: Tip: When fighting all three, kill Ignis first as he can do a ton of damage from afar. You may die a few times ("Rejoining the fray"), so keep your eyes open for the ingredients. Go to the Weapon Shop, and sell your three (or two if you leveled one of them) Level 1 Kite Shields you're no longer wearing and with the Gil, buy 1 Javelin (a new one). IT gives the phrase "a stiff drink" a whole new meaning: researchers have made the surprise discovery that alcohol actually improves men's sexual performance. Be careful as the Coerul's have an instant death attack! Before we get to them, let's travel to the new Outpost you unlocked: Norduscaen Garrison. Then you'll want to go ahead and finish out the three Urgents below to get three more Royal Sigils unlocked. This will cause it to kneel/immobilize and likely be in a Vulnerable state. This "Weak DW + Chrome Bit Gear" setup will then allow you to easily take on the 1.0 storyline final boss, and up until you get to the high level 80/90 Quests in the 1.2 content, which requires the new gear. I've tested each ability on two Level 99 Dragon Whiskers with identical STR, and the Penetrator version came out on top by 300-500 extra damage per aerial hit against the final boss in 1.0. It's possible to get 75%+ off his HP bar before the second phase depending on luck! This is about the point where many people start following a guide online because they realize how weak they are. We will need to get a total of 25 Meteorites for Crafting Goal #4. Back up your FFXV Comrades save data onto USB/PS+ (~100MB) and then delete it from your system storage. That said, if you can at all help it, I highly recommend playing 1.0 when starting (see the Introduction and Setup sections for details on how to get to this version). Finally, try to break the boss's tusks to get a Great Garula Tusk. With the Rampage Sigil's Warp-Strike, you are very hard to hit for several frames, so if you and him both attack simultaneously, most of the time you'll come out on top. You'll be thrown into a Solo Quest: Let Sleeping Kings Lie, which requires you to just defeat some Goblins with an AI named Miles. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. The Cactuar Needle imbues Penetrator (Reduces target's defense by 30% when attacking) and an Insect Stinger, obtained from the Escort: Mechanic on the Move, imbues Air Supremacy X (Damage output increases by 50% when attacking in midair). This quest will test how strong you really are; if you can't kill the Yojimbo fast enough, you will struggle. Because this will be one of your final four weapons, you will be keeping it at Level 1 until we get a better mat to craft with it in Crafting Goal #3. I recommend three quests for this (depending on your GEAR setup): Proving the "No Ingredient Nest Manager (Kenny)" Method Does Not Work Offline (1:00 Video). I'll remind you when I want you to go do it. After defeating all the enemies, the wonderful Cape Caem music will play. Do not chase after him if he teleports across the area to start shooting fireballs or do his dash charge attack. Unfortunately, you won't be able to do the item drop bug in newer versions, as the MA-X Maniple's legs will no longer be targetable after breaking them. It imparts Curaga, +30 MP, and has an empty slot, giving it great flexibility. Also, if you still have The Oracle's Sigil: Healing Light equipped, unequip it (OPTIONS > GEAR > L3) as we're about to get a lot more STR/VIT from crafting. Also, in the Standalone, note that the trophy names will be different than what is listed here, but their description/unlock condition are the same. You honestly don't need to waste the 5,000 kW to send power to it until after you've reached Urgent: Ghost in the Machine (D3). You should already have 99 Rusted Bits, so you'll need to go back twice to buy 99 and then 2 more (99 + 99 + 2 = 200). While you can get it now, I recommend not doing so. In Lestallum, go to the upper level northwest to a < ? When Ifrit starts shooting fireballs, put up your Barrier (SQUARE) to avoid being knocked back somewhere. The expansion starts six months after Chapter 13 . Since we still don't have the mats to actually craft or level it, just leave it unequipped and in your inventory at Level 1 for now. Prompto is highly resilient to Polearm attacks, so you may want to fight him using your Imperial X-Blades instead. It adds cooperative multiplayer to the game and allows players to create a customizable avatar and take on quests with up to three other players online. If you have the Aerial Ace Sigil, just aerial attack his back. When you arrive at the Garrison, you should have already unlocked the refugees for it, allowing you to elect the leader. You can also go ahead to each Outpost and Elect Leaders to start earning some donations (collected in Lestallum's Supply Center, on the lowest level). He uses guns and plays a lot differently than the others. Power up the remaining Power Lines in Lestallum afterwards and a cutscene will ensue with Holly, who will issue you a Solo Quest. Go back to the middle level of Lestallum and talk to Jeanne (Send Power). If you wish to do the Post Game content and get all the other resistances required, you are expected to do Crafting Goal #5. You could level these weapons up higher if you wanted, but you'd be unnecessarily stronger while wasting Gil, mats, and time in the long-run. Supply power on the electrical grid (300 kW) to open up the Hunt: Garulessa Gone Wild. These new ones will be replacing your old Level 50 Weapons. Bette. You'll need to dismantle the Rusted Bits with other junk mats instead to get the Weapon to Level 49 or higher, and you'll need to get 12 Meteorites instead of 10 from Junk mats. That's 1 STR and 1 VIT per 125 EXP, extremely efficient. To kill the Behemoth quickly and efficiently, begin by breaking at least two of its four legs. You'll need to defeat the first two waves of undead enemies (13 in total) and then break the Black Flan boss, which will either drop Black Flan Ooze (Common) or the Tainted Club (Rare). As I said, he showed up for me in 3 out of 4 games within the first 2 hours (while I was specifically grinding the Karlabos quest early for kW). I was around 3 hours into the game and about Level 10.
